Program Information

The Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers, launched in 2004, has helped more than 1,300 farm families raise livestock responsibly and successfully.  This includes the implementation of best management practices that enhance air, soil and water quality.  Along the way, CSIF identified a need for farmers to receive technical assistance in planning for tree plantings so that vegetative buffers meet the goals of each family and their farm.  The Green Farmstead Partner Program aggregates the expertise of farm and environmental communities in this important effort.
